MAN’S GREATEST NEED - THE GOSPEL MESSAGE

Do you know where you will spend eternity?  Do you know for sure that you would go to heaven in the event that you were to die today?  If Christ asked you, “Why should I allow you to enter heaven?” what would you say?  The Bible gives clear and absolute answers to these questions.

YOU ARE A SINNER IN NEED OF CHRIST’S SALVATION

Romans 3:10 “As it is written, There is none righteous, no not one.”

Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”

GOD’S PUNISHMENT FOR SIN IS SPIRITUAL AND PHYSICAL DEATH

Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Hebrews 9:27 “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.”

Revelation 20:15 “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”

Revelation 21:8 “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone:  which is the second death.”

YOU MUST REPENT FROM YOUR SINS TO BE SAVED

Luke 13:3 “I tell you, Nay:  but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.”

Acts 17:30 “And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men everywhere to repent.”

YOU CANNOT SAVE YOURSELF

Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God:  Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

Titus 3:5a “Not by works of righteousness which ye have done, but according to his mercy he saved us.”

CHRIST IS THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN SAVE YOU

John 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

Acts 4:12 “Neither is there salvation in any other:  for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”

YOU MUST PLACE YOUR TRUST IN CHRIST TO BE SAVED

John 1:12 “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.”

Acts 16:31 “And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.”

Romans 10:9 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”

ONCE YOU ARE SAVED, YOU ARE SAVED FOR ETERNITY

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

John 10:27-29 “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me; and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.  My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.”

Romans 8:38-39 “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
